The name Grandmére (or Grandmother) was choosen because fruit from these vineyards result in a wine that is consistently warm and friendly

It seemed to show just a bit of age in the color of the wine in the glass, but on the nose and in the mouth it seems quite young, drinking best after a few hours in air. 93 now but should improve with two or three more years and drink well though 2035. 9 26 2025
